Thank you for sharing your Proud Mater Dads with us!

To celebrate Father’s Day—and to show Mater Dads how much we value their role in the arrival of our Mater babies—we launched the Proud Mater Dad campaign in mid-August.

As part of the campaign, seven dads allowed us to capture their first moments of fatherhood and we shared these special photos in an incredible Proud Mater Dad photography exhibition at Mater Mothers, South Brisbane and Redland.

Thank you to Steve, Tim, Troy, Michael, Christopher, Scott and Michael for letting us be part of their special moments, and to the hundreds of families who shared their ‘Proud Mater Dad’ moments with us on Facebook; we loved seeing the photos and reading about what makes your partner a great dad.

We also took the opportunity to spoil some fathers—those who were in Mater Mothers on Father’s Day received a pair of Proud Mater Dad socks, while a handful of lucky Facebook followers won prizes including an Australia Zoo family pass, Red Balloon gift vouchers, Endota Spa packages and more. 

Finally, a big thank you to Pavel Mamim who shared with us the story of his son George who spent 10 weeks in Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit after being born 13 weeks premature. To read Pavel’s  story, click here.
