Wave of Light Service marks International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day

Wave of Light Service marks International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day

Mater Mothers' Hospital’s Bereavement Support Program invites families who have lost a pregnancy or baby to attend this year's non-denominational 'Wave of Light’ Service to to recognise International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day on Wednesday 15 October at 7 pm.

Each year all around the world on this date and time, candles are lit to honour and remember a baby that has died. The result is a wave of light around the world.

The service will be held in the Eire Room, Level 3, Corporate Services Building with refreshments to follow and a chance to talk with others after the service. For catering purposes please RSVP to [email protected] by 8 October.

If you are unable to attend but would like a candle to be lit in memory of your baby, please email [email protected] and we will ensure your request is acknowledged and carried out.
