You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and a comprehensive selection of support services in one convenient location, including antenatal and parent education classes. Our onsite Special Care Nursery provides care to babies born prematurely from 34 weeks and not requiring ventilation.

If your baby requires more intense treatment, a transfer to the Townsville University Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) may be required. This decision will be made in consultation with you, the parent or care giver, and your baby’s paediatrician.

Antenatal education

To help you prepare for your journey into parenthood we’ve designed a range of flexible online education class options on both weekdays and weekends, covering a number of topics for you and your support person. Our goal is to empower you as you approach the birth of your baby, and to get ready for the weeks that follow. You can find out more about our antenatal and parent education classes here.

We love meeting our expectant parents and are happy to help with any questions you may have about your stay. If you would like to know more about our facilities, or request a tour, please call us on 07 4722 8866 today.
