Celebrating 10 000 babies born in 2015

At Mater Mothers’ Hospitals we are privileged to share in the beautiful moments of so many families. It was with great excitement that last week we welcomed little Jensen Axten the 10 000th baby to be born this year at Mater Mothers’ Hospitals.

Join us as we celebrate this wonderful milestone and our 10 000 Mater babies. Share your photos of your 2015 Mater baby on Facebook and Instagram with us using #matermothers.

An average of 29 babies are born each day across our three hospitals—Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane, Mater Mothers’ Private Redland and Mater Mothers’ Hospital.

The busiest day of the year so far has been Tuesday 25 August with 47 babies born, while the busiest month so far has been July with 971 babies. There have also been 472 multiple births—made up of twins and triplets.
